POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Blessing of Maryfield Nursing Home, Chapelizod, Dublin, October 4th 2019

Mass and blessing of Maryfield Nursing Home by Bishop Eamonn Walsh in the presence of a large number of sisters, friends and relatives was a very joyful event on October 4th.  This was the morning after Storm Lorenzo devastated many parts of the country. Within the building all was bright and calm.  The smiling faces, the peaceful silent prayers of the elderly, the light and beauty of the building, the high quality of the singing accompanied by a harp, the refreshments and entertainment, all contributed to the sense of achievement and gratitude for the provision of such a care facility.

Bishop Eamonn was pleasant and relaxed  as he chatted with many residents. Sr. Rosarii expressed appreciation for the professionalism, creativity and the commitment of all who had contributed in any way to the realisation of this project and ended with a variation of an Irish blessing.

May the God of peace,  bring peace to this house.
May the Son of peace,  bring peace to this house.
May the Spirit of peace,  bring peace to this house,
Peace to all who reside or work here,
Peace and joy to all who enter its door……  Amen
