Friends of St Joseph raise money for new minibus for disabled

St. Joseph’s Home, Freshfield is passionate about supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities who also have complex health care needs.

The Friends of St. Joseph, who are group of volunteers working to enhance the lives of the service users of St Joseph’s Adult Services, raised the five-figure sum for their minibus during a three-year campaign, which included summer fêtes, quizzes, raffles and bingo events.

They have written on their website: “On July 7th, at the summer fête, we finally presented the new minibus to St Joseph’s. It has taken over three years and lots and lots of hard work by so many kind volunteers and friends. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Isn’t she a beauty and a wonderful new addition for the residents of St Joseph’s?”
