The Frances Taylor Foundation [FTF] offers a wide range of social care and support for people with learning disabilities, and for older people. Our services include community support, shared supported living, activity resource centres, and residential and nursing care homes. They are based in Greater London, Brighton and Hove, Liverpool and Merseyside.

We have various positions available that we wish to appoint to at one of our Learning Disability Homes in West London. St Raphael’s is a registered Learning Disability Home which offers a high quality, supportive, stimulating and homely environment.

SENIOR ACTIVITY SUPPORT WORKER, FERNLEY RESOURCE CENTRE, FORMBY, MERSEYSIDE

Salary Range: Full Time £16,599 – £18,780

Do you have a qualification in care NVQ/QCF, nursing or social work?

We are seeking to appoint a caring, compassionate person who with the support of their team leader and senior managers can lead a small dedicated team of activity workers to offering a person centred, high quality service to people with learning disabilities and complex high care and support needs within a day setting.

The successful candidate will have two years’ experience working in a care setting.

Have the knowledge and skills to deliver a range of tasks, providing personal care, support with eating and drinking and supporting people to access the local community and supporting group excursions.

Have confidence and knowledge to support people who may experience medical and health issues and require medication.

Can demonstrate leadership skills and has the ability to guide and direct others.

Can be flexible to deliver the support service.

The above position at one of our Services in the Brighton & Hove area. We are a registered charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own homes and in the community.  As the role is shift work, therefore role will include some evenings and most weekends (Saturdays only)

St Joseph’s Home is set in beautiful surroundings within a pine forest close to the beach. St Joseph’s is home to 32 people and has a Short Breaks service that provides emergency respite and planned short breaks for 4 people at any given time. The home is separated into 3 modern areas with their own front entrances. We promote a culture based on respect and dignity for the people we support.

At St Joseph’s we pride ourselves on our values and incorporate this in to every aspect of the service we deliver to the people we support and the staff who support them.  We ‘Make It Happen’ for the people who use our service in many ways, not only meeting their health needs but also their social needs whilst ensuring that their personal relationships are maintained through regular contact and shared activities.

We want a Care Support Worker who responds appropriately to medical and health concerns, and the role may require you to administer medication in accordance with the charities’ policy and procedures.  We will ensure staff members are fully trained in any area before undertaking such duties.

Bank Hourly Rate: £13.32 per hour

We are looking to appoint BANK RGN’s at one of our Care Homes in West London. Maryville is a small older people’s home with the added advantage of offering nursing care where appropriate. Residents are within three main areas of the home which are purposely designed to provide tailored care with 39 beds in total.

Different from large scale Older People’s Homes, Maryville is small and homely and able to offer truly personalised care. The home is in close proximity to the shops, medical services, leisure facilities and library and has the added advantage of having its own chapel on site with daily Mass, for those who wish to use it.
