POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Rome

Students studying English language at British Council, Mater Dei Convent Rome

We Sisters have worked in Rome since 1886. Frances Taylor/Mother Magdalen lived part of her life here in Mater DeiĀ convent.

For many years the Sisters managed a school here. Now the building is leased to the British Council and continues to be used for education.

The members of the community now collaborate with other ecclesial bodies, engage in pastoral work, offer hospitality to pilgrims and are a prayer space for small groups.
