POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Celebration of the Lauda or Brief of Praise given to the Congregation on this day 1879

On this day, in 1879, the first approval of the Constitutions of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God, the Brief of Praise, was brought to Roehampton by Cardinal Manning to Mother Magdalen, assembled in the laundry with a group of Sisters gathered for their annual retreat with Fr. Dignam. It was the official recognition of the Congregation, and the work of its Foundress. It was a day of great joy and thanksgiving.

Say a Rosary of thanksgiving today for the first official approval of the Poor Servants of the Mother of God and their service to the Church and the world.
