POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Thought For The Day

Sr. M. Campion
(Entered 1886)

Sr. M Campion was a convert from Anglicanism. She was the Superior of an Anglican Sisterhood for 18 years. She was sent to Rome after making her First Vows, and spent the rest of her life there. She did a great deal to set up the shrine of Our Lady Queen of Prophets. She was remarkable for her brave, cheerful outlook on life, and it took real courage to surmount the difficulties and trials consequent on her late entry into Religious life as a Catholic, but she always, even in old age, kept up her spirit of fun. She had literary and musical gifts, and prepared a considerable amount of material for a life of Mother which was published after her death.
