‘And the Bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept.’
Matthew 25:6
Scripture often calls negligence in God’s service ‘folly’. We are foolish indeed if we let our lamps go out: the lamps of prayer, of dedication, of fervour.
Pray today for an increase of fervour in his service, a fervour which shows itself in a determination to live henceforth in the power of God’s Spirit.
