Feast of St. Patrick, Patron Saint of Ireland
In her book “Irish Homes and Irish Hearts” Mother Magdalen pays tribute to the people of Ireland whom she had grown to love and admire:
They “witness to us of what Irish men and women can do and have done. They have not dreamed away their lives, given up enterprises in despair… they have worked for her, lived for her, suffered for her… and when the deeds of nations shall be reviewed, Ireland may be found to have played a not ignoble part in world history…”
