Beloved SMG, Sr Marie McCann RIP

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Sr Marie McCann, who died on 6th June 2026, aged 90, having devoted 64 years of her life as a Poor Servant of the Mother of God. Sr Marie trained as a Registered Nurse and spent many years caring for the sick, work dear to our Mother Foundress’ heart. Sr Marie’s gentleness and patience were much appreciated by all who received her care. A very unassuming and sensitive person, Marie treated others likewise, always bright and cheerful and ever ready to help when and where help was needed. She loved music and often played the organ for services in the chapel. She shall be missed by her family and friends, and her community of St Mary’s Brentford. RIP Sr Marie.
