POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Thought for the Day

Instead of fasts and austerities, do your work well. You buy time for prayer by doing whatever God wants you to do well. Our strength does not always depend on us, only God knows of what we are capable. But if we are generous in helping others, and work willingly for him, we will have our reward.

On this feast day of St. Leo the Great, the reformer of the Church and tireless worker for God, we pray that, like him, we may use our time in this world fruitfully, using the gifts God has given us for his greater glory, and for the upbuilding of his Church.
