Fear is a thing to conquer, like a child’s fear of the dark. See how many times in the Gospels Jesus reassures us “Do not be afraid”.
We too can rejoice in the Angel Gabriel’s words to Mary: “Do not be afraid… for you have found favour with God”. Thank him today for the gift of faith.
