POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Thought for the Day

When we went to Mount Street, Mother chose for herself the smallest room with just enough space for the bed and a chair. At the foot of the bed was a water tank. The mattress had the springs sticking up. One morning the Sisters went in to help her, and found that she had taken off the pillows. This was the beginning of Lent, 1872.

Memories of the Early Days…

We pray for the grace to accept willingly and lovingly the sacrifices God sends us, and not to make a fuss about little comforts being taken away from us.
