UK – Sr Mary Kenefick – Catholic Woman of the Year 2017

We offer our heartiest congratulation to Sr. Mary Kenefick SMG, who in her role as Chaplain to Brunel University and University College London, was nominated as Catholic Woman of the Year for 2017 in the UK. Three other women were given this honour with Sr. Mary.

Fr Stephen Wang, senior University Chaplain for the diocese of Westminster nominated Mary saying ‘she brings warmth, joy, professionalism and a deep faith to her relationships, reaching out to those unconnected with the Church and tirelessly supporting the Catholic students so they can be a confident and loving presence among their peers.’  The honour will be conferred on Mary at the Catholic Women of the Year Luncheon on November 3^rd in London.

What a great honour for Mary and for the Congregation too. We wish her a very happy celebration and continued blessings in her ministry to young people and to the elderly she ministers to in St. Patrick’s Soho.
