Warrington – a leaf falls…
On 24th September as we celebrated the first gathering of SMGs before the statue of Mary 149 years ago, another group of Sisters, Associates and friends gathered to give thanks for 27 years of SMG service to the vulnerable in Warrington. Mass, concelebrated by 4 priests at the Church of St. Brigid in Warrington, was a lively affair as all joined together in giving thanks for the countless blessings we had received and also given to so many.
The service of the poor continues at St. Joseph’s Family Centre and we believe that SMG seeds will continue to grow and bear fruit in Warrington….they were planted in fertile soil by committed women, whose names are in the SMG annals and in the annals of heaven.
