Sowers of Prophetic Hope

Women Religious worldwide were urged to consider how they could be SOWERS OF PROPHETIC HOPE  when more than 800 Superiors General, from 80 countries, using thirteen official languages, gathered in Rome for  their plenary meeting from 6^th. to 10^th. May.

Major reflections covered the themes –  A Vision for the Future of Religious Life,   Sowers of Prophetic Hope for the Planet,  Intercultural Life as a Sign of Prophetic Hope  and The Call to Interreligious Dialogue.  Personal experiences on the emergence of hope in different contexts were shared and interculturality was certainly a reality.

At the conclusion of the meeting Pope Francis received the Sisters in a special audience where he stressed that  “mission is service, not servitude”.

Sr. Rosarii’s table companions represented six different countries.
