POOR SERVANTS OF THE MOTHER OF GOD

Thought for the Day

When we were in Soho, we went each Sunday to Barking to help Fr. Gilligan in the parish. I remember we went out there after breakfast, and didn’t return until six in the evening. We had some tea at Fr. Gilligan’s about twelve o’clock. Mother told us to take nothing else, as he was very poor.

Because we rarely want for anything, we think others are the same. We need to pray for the same sensitivity to the needs of those around us, that Mother Magdalen had. We also remember St. Stephen today, in thanksgiving for his inspiring and courageous witness to the faith.
